The Boracéia Beach Being

The being was very tall and extremely thin, with arms that hung past its knees. Celso Vendramini is a lawyer and a former officer of São Paulo's ROTA police. He says he and his wife met it on a night walk along Boracéia beach in March 1997 with their puppies. In the archive's telling the figure looked like a grasshopper. It wore a mustard-yellow jumpsuit and floated above the sand near smaller figures. When Vendramini's pistol went off by accident, the being and a craft were gone.

The story did not end on the beach. His wife later had what the telling describes as onboard examinations by small grey beings, who she felt had implanted something in her head or neck. In the outside account she dreamt of the examination and woke to find three red dots in a triangle on her neck.

What is on the record

Our one telling, on one channel, gives the archive two claimants: Vendramini and his wife. The only outside source is Vendramini himself, in a podcast interview where he tells the story in his own words. No contemporary record, investigator's report or press coverage has turned up, and no one has offered an explanation. In effect this is one man's account of a night he shared with his wife.

Our record files the case as Boracay Beach, which is a mistranscription of Boracéia, a beach at Bertioga on the São Paulo coast. Our telling also gives his wife's first name as Sonia. That name is not confirmed outside it, so this page calls her his wife. The podcast account lists a friend, Dr Roberto Okama, among the witnesses. Our telling does not mention him.

Why it sits where it does

The case grades L3 because the archive counts two claimants describing one connected event. Both reach us through a single teller. His background in policing and law is part of the story, but it is not a second source. What walked on Boracéia beach is not resolved here.
