The Colorado Officer's Orb Videos

A Colorado law-enforcement officer filmed lights over several nights in October 2023 and again on 2 January 2024, and on one tape he says an orb had shone a bright red and blue beam into his patrol truck the night before. AARO released transcripts of four of his videos in September 2026 and lists the reports as unresolved. This is the record of what he filmed and said, not a verdict on what was in the Colorado sky.

◆ THE SHORT VERSION

  • The Colorado Officer's Orb Videos is a reported UAP case in Colorado (site withheld), USA, October 2023 to 2 January 2024.
  • On his own tape a Colorado law-enforcement officer says one of the objects had shone a bright red and blue beam into his patrol truck the night before.
  • He narrates a light climbing above a power line and says these objects stay put for hours, fly in triangular motions and have twice vanished at what he calls supersonic speed.
  • On 2 January 2024 he filmed "another orb" about 300 feet up, said radar showed no aircraft in the area, and reported the craft flying closer to him.
  • AARO released transcripts of four of his videos with the audio removed and warns that phone autofocus may distort how distant lights appear; the reports are listed as unresolved.
  • For this case Fractured Realities holds 8 distinct sources and 8 corroborating primary documents.
  • The archive grades it L1 · SINGLE CHANNEL — it is retold more than once, but everything traces back through one channel.

Counts are resolved totals of what sources say, computed 2026-10-03; the reported details above are claims in the record, not findings. A record of reports, not a verdict on what happened.

"So yesterday, one of these things shined a very, um, bright red and blue beam into my truck, a patrol vehicle." The officer says it to his own camera in October 2023 while filming a light over Colorado on the second night in a row. Over fifteen minutes he narrates it climbing above a power line and wonders if it is splitting into "two distinct lights in that orb". These things stay put for hours, he says, and "fly in triangular motions". Twice he has seen one vanish "in an instant at like supersonic speed". Near the end the light moves west with a good-sized beam coming off it. "Okay, it's definitely moving towards me," he says. "Which is… very terrifying."

On 2 January 2024 he was filming again from a westbound interstate. He reports "another orb" about 300 feet up that had hung stationary for about fifteen minutes, and says radar showed no aircraft in the area. Then: "the craft is flying closer to me now."

What is on the record

The archive holds four AARO transcripts, LLE-UAP-D001 to D004, from the Department of War's PURSUE release of 18 September 2026. Each transcribes one of the officer's videos, PR001 to PR004. AARO removed the audio and redacted the reporter's identity along with the places, the interstate number and the mile marker. Two tapes carry almost nothing: PR001 holds a few words and an expletive, PR003 only background noise.

The videos are on DVIDS. DVIDS dates all four 10.01.2023, which is wrong for PR004: the officer says 2 January 2024 on the tape, and AARO's own transcript title says January 2024. Press stories that put the 300-foot orb in October 2023 repeat the error. AARO warns on every video that phone autofocus and image processing "may distort the apparent morphological and kinematic characteristics of distant subjects", which bears on the twin lights and the beam. No published analysis offers a specific explanation.

Why it sits where it does

The page grades L1, one channel: one officer's tapes in one release. He is redacted, so the records carry no identified witness and the page cannot reach the official-record tier. Reading the four as one series is our inference. AARO never says so, though his own "second night in a row" and "another orb" point that way. A tier measures sourcing, never truth. What he filmed is not resolved here.
