The Dalnegorsk Height 611 Crash

In 1986 a glowing red sphere was reported to have come down on a hilltop above Dalnegorsk, in the Soviet Far East, leaving a burn site that a local scientist examined. The samples he described were unusual enough to keep the case in circulation. This is the record of what was reported and collected, not a verdict on what fell.

◆ THE SHORT VERSION

  • The Dalnegorsk Height 611 Crash is a reported UAP case in Height 611 hilltop, Russia, 29 January 1986.

  • For this case Fractured Realities holds 2 distinct sources and 2 distinct claimants on its resolved list.
  • The archive grades it L3 · MULTI-SOURCE — multiple independent sources attest to it.

Counts are resolved totals of what sources say, computed 2026-10-03; the reported details above are claims in the record, not findings. A record of reports, not a verdict on what happened.

In 1986 a reddish-orange sphere was reported above Dalnegorsk, in what was then the Soviet Far East. Witnesses on the hill known as Height 611 said it flew low, rose and fell several times, then struck the ridge and burned without exploding. The accounts describe a fire that lasted about an hour and evaporated snow on the slope. A biologist reached the site and reported burnt trees, ground pressed down by five centimetres, and small metallic spheres and mesh among the debris. The physical residue gives the case its shape, more than the light in the sky did.

What is on the record

The archive resolves two claimants across a single reporting channel and two videos: the scientist and the local eyewitnesses whose accounts sit alongside his. He is named as Valeriy Duzhili in one telling and Valery Dvuzhilny in another, and these are the same person. The summaries describe samples said to contain quartz filaments threaded with gold netting seven microns across, and the artificial element promethium. They also note claims of altered blood counts among those present.

The file carries one document, a CIA FOIA record, and the archive classes it as reporting rather than as a primary government record, so it does not lift this entry above testimony. The material analyses, striking as they read, come through the single channel and are not independently confirmed here.

Why it sits where it does

Dalnegorsk grades L3, independent witnesses describing one connected event, on the strength of the witness accounts; the one document on file is reporting, not a primary record. Only a single reporting channel carries the telling. The residue was studied and described. What produced it, and what the sphere was, is not resolved here.
