The Customs Officer's Saucer at Étauliers
At about ten past seven on the morning of 13 January 1980 a customs officer driving near Étauliers, on the edge of the Gironde, saw a saucer-shaped craft five or six metres across with lights flashing at its edges. He stopped the car, got out and watched it drift away in total silence for five minutes. France's official investigators could find nothing more and filed it as unexplained. This is the record of one man's report, not a verdict on what hung in the sky that morning.
