The Lambersart Spheres
At 4am on 17 June 2012 a man letting his cat out in Lambersart near Lille watched ten to fifteen transparent spheres cross the sky in silent formation and vanish into a cloud. France's official UAP unit worked the numbers and could match them to nothing known. This is the record of what one man reported, not a verdict on what flew over the garden.
◆ THE SHORT VERSION
- The Lambersart Spheres is a reported UAP case in Lambersart, Nord, France, 17 June 2012.
- A man on his terrace at 4am reported ten to fifteen transparent spheres, like soap bubbles, crossing the sky in a silent, layered formation before vanishing into a cloud.
- From the cloud height GEIPAN put the spheres 1,460 to 2,000 metres up, which would make each one 49 to 68 metres across.
- GEIPAN found they moved too fast to be carried by the wind and rated aircraft in formation a weak explanation because of their look and silence.
- It concluded the objects resemble no known natural or manufactured object and classed the case D1.
