The Abergavenny Mothership

Members of a band driving in a van near Abergavenny reported a cigar-shaped object that opened out into a circular craft the size of a football pitch. The van stopped and would not start until the object left. The record carries no date at all. This is the account as it was told, not a verdict on what was over the car park.

A circular craft the size of a football pitch stopped directly over a band's van, by their account, and the engine would not start. Then a smaller object, perhaps twelve to fifteen feet across, emerged from the centre of the large one and dropped into the lower car park below, where it appeared to be scanning the ground. The people in the van had first taken it for a cigar-shaped object carrying four lights. When the large craft went silently off in the direction of Abergavenny the van started again.

What is on the record

The archive holds two videos on one channel and resolves five claimants. Four are named: Geoff, Simon, Wayne and Jekka. The fifth is an unnamed narrator in the second telling, which also names Wayne and Simon. The file cannot say whether that narrator is one of the four already listed, so the count may hold one person twice. There are no documents, no photographs and no official paperwork.

The second telling is shorter and agrees with the first on every point it covers: the four lights, the pitch-sized circle overhead, the dead engine, something dropping into the car park and the silent exit towards Abergavenny. Because both come through the same channel it confirms the story was told consistently rather than adding an independent source.

The witnesses are described as having driven down afterwards to watch the smaller craft at work, which is the detail that separates this from a passing sighting. The account also carries a piece of local colour rather than evidence. Someone from the area later told them the ground there had a magnetic field that the craft were drawn to. That is repeated in the file as a remark and not as a measurement, and nothing in the record tests it.

The dating is the largest gap. Neither telling gives a year, so this account cannot be placed in a decade. The location is vague too. It is described only by reference to a dingle and a lower car park near Abergavenny in south Wales. Naming the spot more closely would mean inventing it.

Why it sits where it does

The case grades L3 on several people describing one connected event. It cannot climb further. Nothing external corroborates it and the missing date makes even the ordinary checks impossible. What stood over the van is not resolved here.
