The Calvine Photograph

A diamond-shaped craft beside a military jet, handed to the MoD and suppressed for 32 years before resurfacing in 2022. Photographic analysis found no sign of manipulation.

The MoD withheld it for 32 years, and the photographic analysis published on its 2022 resurfacing found no evidence of manipulation or double exposure in the surviving print.

Provenance is the weak point — the photographers have never come forward, and sceptics argue a small object close to the lens, or something ordinary on or above the fence line, cannot be excluded.

Unexplained. No identification has been established. The record leaves it open.
