2019 · Eastern United States

◈ PUBLIC DOMAIN · FREE TO DISPLAY

WHAT IT IS

Infrared from a civilian aircraft: a small round object crosses the frame over coast and sea and is gone in twenty seconds.

THE CASE FOR

The observer's debrief describes flight characteristics 'unlike anything' he had seen in 28 years with the Air Force and Navy: small, in a straight line, at high speed.

THE CASE AGAINST

Twenty seconds, much of it lost to the sensor changing modes. The object is small and the speed is the observer's impression.

WHERE IT STANDS

Unexplained. No identification has been established. The record leaves it open.
