The 'Gimbal' Footage

2015 · US East Coast · USA

◈ PUBLIC DOMAIN · FREE TO DISPLAY

WHAT IT IS

A rotating object tracked by USS Theodore Roosevelt aircrews. The first UAP video the US government cleared for public release.

THE CASE FOR

The object appears to rotate against the wind with no visible exhaust, and the aircrew's stunned real-time reaction was recorded with it — provenance is not in question.

THE CASE AGAINST

The rotation closely tracks what glare does when a gimbal-mounted sensor slews to keep its lock — the mundane reading that gave the footage its name.

WHERE IT STANDS

Authenticated. The recording is genuine and its provenance confirmed. That alone does not say what the object was.
