The Apollo frames
Between 1969 and 1972 the Apollo crews brought home thousands of Hasselblad frames, and some of them carry marks in the black lunar sky. Presenters have read those marks as luminous objects and as evidence of tampering, and have pointed to differences between archive scans of the same frame. This is the record of what was claimed about the photographs, not a verdict on what the marks are.
◆ THE SHORT VERSION
- The Apollo frames is a reported UAP case on the Moon, 1969–1972.
- The principal telling says NASA's own archive scans of Apollo 11, 12, 14 and 17 frames show triangular formations of light, egg-shaped luminous objects trailing contrails, balls of plasma and apparent cutouts or tampering in the black lunar sky.
- The same telling says NASA has never commented and that different archive scans of the same frame do not always agree.
- In May 2026 the Pentagon released Apollo-era files including an Apollo 17 frame with three dots in a triangle, captioned to say there is no consensus on what it shows and that a preliminary analysis read it as possibly a physical object.
- The archive's four claimants are the astronauts who took the photographs, none of whom claimed anything about the marks; the ordinary readings are cosmic-ray strikes, lens flare, dust and scratches, and scans that differ between laboratories.
- For this case Fractured Realities holds 1 distinct source, 3 corroborating primary documents and 4 distinct claimants on its resolved list.
- The archive grades it L4 · DOC-CORROBORATED — the testimony is corroborated by primary government documents, the top of our scale.
Counts are resolved totals of what sources say, computed 2026-10-03; the reported details above are claims in the record, not findings. A record of reports, not a verdict on what happened.
