The Aveyron Farm Series

Between June 1966 and January 1967 a farming family near Aveyron described repeated visits by luminous balls, an upright shell-shaped object and finally a domed disc. The series ends with a son on a national road, his engine and lights dead. This is the record of what the family described, not a verdict on what came to the farm.

It began with lights. Over months, a farming family near Aveyron described luminous balls appearing around the property, then an upright shell-shaped object they called an obus, and finally a domed saucer. The father says he was followed and blocked twice by one of the balls. On 11 January 1967 the son gave chase by car at high speed and met the shell-shaped object, which tilted and left with a whistling sound. At the national road his engine and lights failed together. A domed disc descended, carrying two blurred figures he compared to astronauts. He describes intense heat and being unable to move, and then the object shooting away east.

What is on the record

The archive resolves four claimants across a single telling from a single channel: the son, the father, the mother and the grandmother, named in the file by their place in the household rather than by name. That is the whole of the sourcing. There are no documents, no photographs and no official report on file, so nothing outside the family's account carries any part of it.

What the record does hold is a shape common to the strongest of these reports and the weakest alike. Vehicle interference at close range. Physical after-effects that outlast the encounter: the son is described as suffering roughly two months of overwhelming sleepiness afterwards, with episodes of paralysis and a sensation of leaving his body. Animals reacting. A sequence spread over months rather than a single night, which is the part that makes the case unusual and also the part hardest to test, since each element rests on the same four people.

Why it sits where it does

The case grades L3, several claimants describing one connected sequence. It cannot go higher. One channel, one telling and no documentation mean the independence here is between family members rather than between sources. What visited the farm across those months is not resolved here.
