Mitchell's blue lights
Edgar Mitchell walked on the Moon with Apollo 14 in February 1971 and spent the rest of his life saying the phenomenon was real. A telling in the archive has him privately claiming that craft with blue lights followed the mission out and back, and that a NASA frame shows them. This is the record of what was claimed, not a verdict on what followed Apollo 14.
◆ THE SHORT VERSION
- Mitchell's blue lights is a reported UAP case in lunar orbit, 1971.
- One telling has Edgar Mitchell privately saying Apollo 14 was followed out and back by unknown craft with blue lights, that he photographed them, and that there was a presence on the Moon.
- He gave 'treason' as the reason he stayed silent in public, according to the man he is said to have told.
- A second telling points to NASA frame AS14-66-9301 and says one archive version shows a pair of blue orbs in the black sky while another shows an irregular cutout in the same place.
- In public Mitchell said the opposite: that his belief in visitation came from people he had talked to and not from anything he saw on his flight, and the private version is nowhere in his own words.
- For this case Fractured Realities holds 1 distinct source and 1 claimant on its resolved list.
- The archive grades it L0 · SINGLE ACCOUNT — the archive holds one account of it, from a single source.
Counts are resolved totals of what sources say, computed 2026-10-03; the reported details above are claims in the record, not findings. A record of reports, not a verdict on what happened.
