The Emilcin Abduction

Jan Wolski was driving a horse cart near the village of Emilcin when two figures joined him on it. He described them as green-faced with webbed fingers, and the detail that has kept the case alive is how mundane the opening is: he gave them a ride. They then directed him to an object hovering above the ground, variously described in the record as cube-like and as bus-shaped, and he was lifted aboard on a platform.

Inside, Wolski described being undressed and examined with plate-like devices held over him, and four beings present. Two details recur and are worth keeping because they are odd rather than dramatic. The beings took an interest in his belt. They ate a crumbly food and offered him some, which he refused. He also described birds inside the craft that seemed incapacitated. On leaving, by his account, he bowed.

The physical residue is what lifts this above a lone anecdote. Family members reported ground traces on dewy grass, the horse was frightened, and one telling records that a patch of ground beneath where the object hovered would not grow grass for years afterwards. None of that is documented in our archive, but it is what the record describes.
