The Dark Mass over Étrelles
At 11.07pm on 1 June 2014 two people driving slowly through an industrial estate at Étrelles in Ille-et-Vilaine saw a black mass with two small greenish-white lights hang almost overhead and then vanish east at a staggering speed. France's official investigators interviewed both on site, tested a meteor that was recorded that night and filed the case as unexplained. This is the record of what two witnesses reported, not a verdict on what passed over the car.
