The Grace Askew Road Encounter

A woman driving at night with three other women reported orange lights and a ship-like craft following the car, and a figure she describes as non-human coming towards them. A fortnight later her family watched a craft cross slowly over their house. The archive dates the episode to 1994 in Australia but holds no exact place. This is the record of what was claimed, not a verdict on what followed the car.

A figure Grace Askew describes as non-human and threatening came towards the car after a blinding orange light had settled on it. She was driving with three girlfriends. Bright oblong lights and something ship-like had been following them, and the encounter left her fearing for her life. Two weeks later her fifteen-year-old son became distressed at home, sensing a presence in his room and pointing at the ceiling towards a low drone. Grace recognised the sound. She and her husband then watched an object hover slowly across the house, and her husband, a sceptic until then, changed his mind.

What is on the record

Five videos from a single channel tell the story, all of them one narrator's retellings, and they yield eight claimants. That still overstates the people involved. Her husband and her son each appear twice, so the roster comes to roughly six: Grace, her husband, her son, a passenger recorded as Victoria and two other women. The word Victoria is also the name of an Australian state, and the record does not make plain which is meant. There are no documents of any class here and no photographs or investigator's report.

The retellings vary in the details. The lights are oblong and orange in some versions and orange with white-blue or a blue haze in others. One version has the son watching the craft with his parents. The others leave it to the couple.

The archive dates the second sighting to 1994, two weeks after the first. That year comes from the archive's date field rather than from words in the tellings. The place is given only as the Askew family home. The road is described only as near a small hotel and a hillside, so it is still unlocated.

Why it sits where it does

The entry grades L3 on claimant count, several people across two occasions a fortnight apart. The grade reflects how the account reached the archive and says nothing about how well founded it is. Everything arrives through one channel and one family's account with no supporting material behind it. What followed the car is not resolved here.
