Paracelsus C structures

A 2016 paper by members of the Society for Planetary SETI Research described two wall-like features on the floor of Paracelsus C, a far-side crater, measured from Apollo 15 and Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter frames. Later tellings add algorithms that rate the shapes as unnatural. This is the record of what was published and claimed, not a verdict on what the shapes are.

◆ THE SHORT VERSION

  • Paracelsus C structures is a reported UAP case on the Moon, analyzed and published 2015–2016 by SPSR.
  • The tellings describe building-sized right-angled and T-shaped structures on the crater floor, about thirty metres tall and eighty to one hundred and twenty-nine metres long.
  • A fractal analysis is said to rate them the least fractal things in the frame, which the telling takes as a sign of artificial origin; a second telling has bright mounds that respond to detection software the way buildings do.
  • A 2016 paper by Carlotto, Ridge and Sirisena measured the two features at 129 and 77 metres long, between roughly nineteen and thirty-one metres high, from Apollo 15 and Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter frames.
  • The paper's authors said the features may be artificial but that imagery alone cannot settle their origin; the ordinary reading is impact ejecta under low sun.
  • For this case Fractured Realities holds 2 distinct sources and 1 claimant on its resolved list.
  • The archive grades it L1 · SINGLE CHANNEL — it is retold more than once, but everything traces back through one channel.

Counts are resolved totals of what sources say, computed 2026-10-03; the reported details above are claims in the record, not findings. A record of reports, not a verdict on what happened.

Paracelsus C is a satellite crater on the Moon's far side, roughly twenty-four kilometres across, or fifteen miles as the telling has it. According to the accounts the archive holds, its floor carries building-sized right-angled and T-shaped structures about thirty metres tall and eighty to one hundred and twenty-nine metres long, standing apart from the terrain around them. A fractal analysis rates them the least fractal things in the frame, which the telling takes as a sign of artificial origin. The second telling describes a trio of rectilinear forms and bright mounds that respond to detection algorithms the way terrestrial buildings do, most clearly under a low sun.

What is on the record

Two tellings, both from NewsNation across two videos, and one resolved claimant: Manali Max Derikshani, a transcription of the physicist Maaneli "Max" Derakhshani, who appears under another spelling in the later telling and is counted once. A John Ward is also named in the telling, but the archive has found no record connecting him to Paracelsus C and does not count him. No documents are attached, though the case is unusual in that a published paper sits beneath it.

That paper is public. Mark Carlotto, Francis Ridge and Ananda Sirisena published an image analysis of the crater in the Journal of Space Exploration in 2016, working from Apollo 15 mapping-camera frames and Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter images. They measured one feature at 129 metres long and a second at 77 metres, with heights between roughly nineteen and thirty-one metres, and that is where the telling's figures come from. The authors suggested the features may be artificial while allowing that imagery alone cannot settle their origin, and offered them as candidates for further study rather than as findings. The ordinary reading for such shapes is blocks and ridges of impact ejecta whose shadows stretch into straight lines when the Sun is low.

Why it sits where it does

The case sits at L1, the tier for a single channel. One claimant and one channel stand behind everything. What lifts this file is not the count but the paper under it, which is more careful than the tellings built on top of it. What stands on the floor of Paracelsus C is not resolved here.
